Employers that are covered by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration’s record-keeping rule must post a summary of 2020 work-related injuries and illnesses in a noticeable place in the workplace from Feb. 1 to April 30.

OSHA requires most employers with 10 or more employees to track and report all work-related injuries and illnesses via Form 300 (Log of Work-Related Injuries and Illnesses) and Form 300A (Summary of Work-Related Injuries and Illnesses).

To complete Form 300A, employers must summarize all work-related injuries and illnesses reported on Form 300 for the 2020 calendar year, including the total number of cases, total number of days employees spent away from work or on restriction, and specific injury and illness types.

The reporting deadline for Form 300A is March 2, 2021. In addition to filing Form 300A, employers must post the form in the workplace from February 1 to April 30 annually. Form 300A may be electronically filed via OSHA’s Injury Tracking Application. To review if your company needs to provide their 300A data, click here.
